3.1 The delivery of periodic reports based on the innovated Manual for preparation of reports on implementation of the Action Plan and other analyses and reports concerning corruption and organized crime Tax Administration in line with legal regulations and within its authorizations, implements the Action plan for the fight against corruption and organized crime, adopted by the Government of Montenegro.
Analysing Doing Business report written by the representatives of World Bank, i.e. International Financial Corporation (IFC), Tax Administration set up success indicators and made the suggestion of measures designated by the Action Plan for enhancement of the tax system:
the period for determination tax bases for real estate tax is shortened;

TAX ADMINISTRATION PRESS RELEASE


A lecture on the theme Anticorruption efforts with the accent on prevention was organized today, 29.05.2009., by the Tax Administration and the Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative.
The lecture, held at the premises of the Tax Administration, that was attended by 20 tax auditors from Podgorica, Nikšić, Budva and Bar, was opened by the Director, Mirjana Pešalj, who welcomed all attendants.

FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION AND ORGANIZED CRIME

The representatives of Tax Administration and Directorate for Anticorruption Initiative and foreign experts, that visited Montenegro from 04. to 08. May 2009., held the meeting on Friday, 8 May 2009.

The meeting was organized in line with highly successful cooperation that these to Administrations had during the previous period.


The meeting, conducted by Čedomir Mitrović, Head of the Department for supervision of effects of audit and tax collection and human resources development, was also attended by Srđan Kalezić, Deputy Director Department for audit, Novo Radović, Chief tax auditor, Gordana Stajčić, Head of the Office of Tax Administration Director and Žarko Tiodorović, Senior Advisor. The representatives of Directorate for Anticorruption Initiative were senior advisors Grozdana Laković and Jelena Vulanović, while foreign experts were David Gibson and Steven Maxwell.

Report on resolution of requests for free information access, that were submitted to Tax Administration (with Branch Offices), in line with Law on free information access (Officical Gazette of Montenegro, no.68/05), for April 2009

During this month 6 requests for free information access were submitted. On requests of applicants 2 resolutions and 4 notifications were issued in statutory term and delivered to the applicants.

REPORT ON FREE INFORMATION ACCESS FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY - MARCH 2009

In the reporting period 18 requests for free information access were submitted. According to these requests 8 resolutions, 2 verdicts and 8 notifications were issued and delivered to the applicants in statutory term. In this accounting period one complaint on the resolution of this authority was issued, which was dismissed as unsubstantial by the resolution of Ministry of Finance (secondary authority). Discussing the requests for free information access, Tax Administration allows free information access and issues the resolution, if the data that were asked for do not represent a tax secret.

In the reporting period 9 requests for free information access were submitted. According to these requests 6 resolutions, 1 verdicts and 3 notifications were issued and delivered to the applicants in statutory term. In this accounting period one complaint on the resolution of this authority was issued, which was dismissed as unsubstantial by the resolution of Ministry of Finance (secondary authority). Discussing the requests for free information access, Tax Administration allows free information access and issues the resolution, if the data that were asked for do not represent a tax secret.
